Bark for Life

When I saw on Facebook the post to photograph your pets for charity, I did not hesitate. Patsie Borgers started a charity to photograph your loved animals and to donate the money to ‘De warmste week’ on Qmusic. The money will go to the shelter dogs.

I must admit shooting our dogs wasn’t easy since they were the smallest dogs she photographed. It was a real challenge so it didn’t have to take too long, but I am more than happy with the results of our kids.

Enjoy the pictures.

P.S.: Patsie had an overload on requests to shoot your pets so she has put a stop to applications. Thanks for respecting this.

The Mexican Dreamcatcher

Hi sweeties,

I am so excited to tell you about my dream catcher. I bought it in Playa del Carmen in Mexico and I found it the perfect souvenir to remind me to the beautiful time from this summer. I’m also a very superstitious person who believes that all these legends and stories have to have some truth in it. Anyway this dream catcher got its perfect place in the corner of our all white bedroom. In the morning the sun hits the loop and it gives a magical reflection in our bedroom.

Here is some information about dream catchers:The dream catcher is hung above a sleeping area in a place where the morning light can hit it. The nature of the Dream Catcher will attract all sorts of dreams to its webs. When bad dreams come, they do not know the way through the web and get caught in the webbing where the first light of day causes them to melt away and perish. The good dreams knowing the way go through the center of the web and slide down the feather to the sleeper below.

I have also been taught that the web catches bad/unimportant dreams and allows the good/important dreams to come through the middle and slide down the feather into the sleeper’s head. Bad dreams are malicious in intent, or simply unimportant fleeting images. Bad dreams may be very disturbing, but still have a very important message for the dreamer, so that the dream catcher doesn’t necessarily get rid of bad dreams in the sense of nightmares, but bad dreams in the sense of distracting dreams that have no significance or meaning to the dreamer.

Hope you enjoyed!

Chihuahua Fall walk

Last Sunday we had a refreshing walk in the woods of Houthalen. Together with 48 Chihuahuas and all of their dog owners, we had a 5 km walk in the domain Hengelhoef in Houthalen.

It has been 2 years that we participate in these walks organized by ‘De Geklede Hond’. The owner Inneke her love for chihuahuas makes her organize these walks two times a year: during spring and during fall.

We really enjoy their wide range of quality goods and products for our babies and I will always choose a smaller company over a big franchise.

Please take a look at their website if you are a Chihuahua lover for lovely goods!

Mademoiselle Lens

Hi, my dear colleague/friend Daisy presented her home collection last Wednesday. I love the little things she carefully picked out for any interior. She has a love for natural products and she’s a vegetarian like me… well I’m more a flexitarian but hey we have the same goal! Haha

She has little olive soaps, scented candles, extroardinary glassware and then I didn’t even mention her trademark, the lovely sheep skin and pillows in different colours!

Every piece just fits in every interior and they perfectly upholster your house with natural beauty.

Go and visit her website and place your order!

Brunette in Burgundy

Black Komono Sunglasses – Massimo Dutti top – Massimo Dutti trousers – Zara Jacket – Sascha Ankle boots

Hi, today I got my hair coloured to natural caramel brown. I am so happy with the result that I had to go out and shoot. I put on my burgundy outfit and I found it a perfect match. Now I still have to get used to my new hair colour again, but I like a darker colour during fall/ winter and my blonde hair for spring/summer. Let me know which preference you have.
